The 3-axle sliding tarpaulin wagons type Las, later Lails/Lailps, were built from 1974 onwards by SNAV in cooperation with EVS on the basis of the chassis of a 3-axle car transporter already built by SNAV itself. They were initially purchased by EVS (France) and Indesit (Italy), later also by Transfesa (Spain) - in the version with variable gauge axles introduced in 1976 - and by Ausiliare Milano (Italy).
