The 3-axle articulated sliding tarpaulin wagons type Las, later Lails/Lailps, were built from 1974 onwards by SNAV in cooperation with EVS on the basis of the chassis of a 3-axle car transport wagon already built by the company itself. SNAV. Initially they were taken over by EVS (France) and Indesit (Italy), later also by Transfesa (Spain) - in the variable axle width version introduced in 1976 - and by Ausiliare Milano (Italy). In the following years, further sub-series were delivered with minor variations. Over time, some of these wagons were also leased or sold to other companies, with corresponding logo changes. They are still used today for transporting large palletised goods that need to be protected from the weather and require a large manoeuvring space for loading, either in homogeneous compositions or in isolated units together with wagons of other types.
