Volkswagen's VW T3 was the third generation of the VW Transporter. It was produced from 1979 to 1992 and was the last van series with rear-wheel drive. After the VW 411/412 from 1968, the T3 was the last new development of a vehicle from Volkswagen with an air-cooled rear engine.
