The newest member of the Vectron family – the Vectron Dual Mode – combines the advantages of a full-fledged diesel locomotive with those of an electric locomotive. Thanks to its powerful diesel drive and the equipment for using the overhead line, the locomotive can respond flexibly to traction requirements at any time. In cities and metropolitan areas, the issue of environmental pollution is becoming increasingly important. The Vectron Dual Mode makes an important contribution to sustainable freight transport. The locomotives are currently in use by MKB, Captrain, SETG, and Northrail/Paribus. DB Cargo has specifically ordered 146 Vectron Dual Mode locomotives to make transport more sustainable starting in 2023. Model features: - Power consumption across all axles - 2 traction tires - NEM 662 / Next 18 interface - Alternating white/red lights, switchable - Prepared for sound - Etched side and roof grilles - Length overhead distance 124.3 mm
