From 1941 onwards, the Waggonfabrik Uerdingen built over 3700 lightweight tank cars together with some other companies such as MAN. The two-axle wagons had a capacity of 30m3. In the course of the 2nd World War, the wagons came to almost all European railway administrations and, as in Germany, were still in use until the early 2000s.
