Car transport control car BDt BLS, Ep.V-VI, 100 yearsBLS

On the basis of the EW1 standard coaches with bellows and a driver's cab of the ABDe4/8 type, six Bt control cars were delivered to BLS in 1963 by the Schweizerische Waggonfabrik Schlieren (SWS). From 2005, four of these control cars were converted for the car transport trains. Among other things, they received a motorcycle compartment. After the conversion, the coaches were listed by BLS as BDt 946-949. Initially, the control cars still had the blue/beige color scheme, but from 2007 onwards this gave way to umbra gray-green.
