On the morning of December 7, 1941, the silence of Pearl Harbor was abruptly interrupted by a surprise air raid by the Imperial Japanese Navy. In less than two hours, battleships were burning, planes were destroyed, and over 2,400 Americans lost their lives. The attack not only devastated the Pacific Fleet, but also changed the course of history, dragging the United States into World War II. Pearl Harbor, remembered as a day of sacrifice, courage and resilience, remains a reminder of the price of freedom.
