Jonas: »How do I stop the vehicles?«
Pit: »The traffic control unit offers many possibilities. Let me briefly explain it to you.« |

The traffic control unit offers many possibilities. The control element of the vehicles does not cease to amaze everyone. There are various electromechanical and electronic components for traffic guidance:
General traffic control
General traffic control is realised with the help of the item 161772. This unit serves the automated control of the individual components and enables the connection of the following functions:
Car ySstem-junctions
In order to be able to drive on different roadways in a traffic layout, junctions need to be created on the roads. The car system junction is an electrical inductor which diverts the steering magnet away from driving straight forward and to the separately laid special contact wire upon activation.

Car System built-in stops/ Car System car park
Two functional components are available to stop vehicles at traffic lights, level crossings, stations, car parks, etc.
The built-in stop consists of an electromagnet which when activated opens the reed contact in the vehicle and in doing so interrupts the motor voltage.
In the car park a permanent magnet provides for the permanent stopping of the respective vehicle as another stopping device. A superposition of the magnetic field then again provides for a smooth start-up after a certain amount of time.
Car System bus stop/ Car System petrol station
Enables vehicles to functionally veer in a certain direction, stop, and re-enter traffic at bus stops and petrol stations without any problems.
Car System distance control
The distance control regulates the traffic flow when several vehicles are driving behind one another and helps avoid collisions.
Traffic light with switchgear
To control intersections and junctions. Cars stop at red lights. The green light lets them continue!
Car System construction site kit
This enables controlling traffic in a one-lane routed construction site.
